With the team limited due to many injured holders, Band-Sarries tried to impose their forwards game against the Desterro, from Santa Catarina, this weekend at the Arena Paulista, in Tatuapé. In the first half the strategy was successful, with Band-Sarries dominating the ball possession and pressing the opponent. Although Desterro defended very well and used the counter-attacks to lead at the break.
In the second half the game remained balanced, with Band-Sarries very close to the try twice, which would get the team back to the game. On a day when the Band-Sarries was always to press, but the completion of the moves collided in the details once again the visiting team applied a deadly counterattack. The emotional factor was totally in favor of Desterro, and Band-Sarries was reduced to 13 players after two consecutive yellow cards. Desterro used the opportunity left to finish with 43 to 0.
