Reinforced, Band-Sarries faces Armstrong Dragons in Natal (RN) for Super 10
Band-Sarries will try to stand up on Super 10 in Rio Grande do Norte, as will face the squad of Armstrong Dragons, this Saturday (16) at 3 pm in Natal.
The team travels on Friday with important backups, the comeback of the scrumhalf of national team, Laurent, and the flanker Gabriel who pass the last month on England learning at the Saracens Academy, and the second row Marcelo Bellorio, recovered after a long period of the field by a leg injury.
It is an intense game between two teams that need to evolve in the Brazilian Championship. Band-Sarries occupies the seventh place, with six points and the Armstrong Dragons is in the eighth place with two points. “The 15 days rest was important for we work hard on the physical and tactical parts and for the athletes the comeback. The team is more confident. We hope for a great game and we will achieve victory”, says the Band-Sarries CEO, Antonio Martoni.
The coach Ramiro Mina, aka Mocho, faces the first match against Armstrong Dragons like a new phase for Band-Sarries. “It will be a hard game, in the opponent’s field that we never play. We start at Super 10 with a victory, but after two losses we arrive in a complicated place. Know we need victory at any cost to maintain our ambition on the tournament. It became the most important game of the year”, explain the coach.
Bandetes on action – This weekend the women’s team of Band-Sarries will dispute in Niterói the second round for the Super 7′s. After the evolution in Paulista Championship, the team will pursuit a better performance at the nationals. The first game, on Saturday (16), will be against Spac, Brazil’s vice-champion. In the same day the girls will face Niterói and Guanabara.
“The new model, with eight house teams, let Super 7′s even harder. Wall the games are extremely important. We need to take our evolution to the Field if we want to achieve better results”, analyses the manager Juliana Modaneze. The athletes Nivia Boz and Viviane Trindade return from pass injuries.
