São Paulo Saracens Bandeirantes beats Pasteur and take the lead of Paulista A 2014 Rugby Championship
Playing at CET Indaiatuba last Sunday ( March 30 ) Band-Sarries won again with bonus point against Pasteur by 38 x 28, assuming the top position of the 2014 Paulista A 2014 Rugby Championship table.
The game started with Pasteur scoring the first try at 5 minutes, although Band-Sarries take major actions and kept with the ball under possession with great forwards based plays resulting in two Pasteur Penalties well converted by our number 10 Valter “Japinha”, in the second quarter the forwards also assured more two tries for Bandeirantes scored by the prop Marton and second row Marcelo Bellório.
During the first 20 minutes of the second half Band- Sarries pushed hard against Pasteur defense in a inspired day for the scrumhalf Laurent and number 10 Valter ” Japinha “, that were enabling the centre Leandro “Cavalo” to broke the mark constantly creating dangerous situations for Pasteur. The Pasteur never gave up the match and with speed plays managed to shorten the score difference, but it was late for the visitors and Band-Sarries confimed the win with more two penalties by Valter “Japinha” and two tries with Leandro “Cavalo” and Pedro Rosa.
With the result São Paulo Saracens Bandeirantes assumes leadership of Paulista A 2014 Rugby Championship alone with 10 points, see full table and matches here.
